Who wouldn’t want a Carrion Golem as your best friend in Path of Exile? It might be a magically animated pile of corpse pieces shambling along beside you, but that’s no reason it can’t give you a hug. Although you probably don’t want a hug from it. In fact, it might be better to just slot into your existing necromantic minion build in the game when the Blight expansion launches because the whole “my best friend is an animated bag of dead flesh” thing doesn’t really sound like something getting four seasons on Cartoon Network. But it is going to serve as a good all-round addition to your minion army and buff your other minions.
Yes, the Carrion Golem is arriving with the game’s next expansion, along with numerous support gems for your minions. You can attach them to Meat Shield Support, causing them to stick close to you and taunt enemies away; you can also designate your minions with the Infernal Legion option and set them all on fire to lay waste to your enemies.
