Wolfenstein: Youngblood Launching On PC Day Early, No Ray Tracing At Launch

Wolfenstein: Youngblood will launch on PC a day early on July 25, according to a tweet from Bethesda.

Although the Steam page still lists July 26 as the release date, PC gamers may receive the game earlier than expected if the tweet from Bethesda is accurate. Right now, there's no word if this applies to the console versions as well.

Additionally, ray tracing will not make an appearance in Wolfenstein: Youngblood at launch because Nvidia engineers are still working on it, according to a GamesBeat interview conducted with Executive Producer, Jerk Gustafsson.

“We’re working together with Nvidia on that, but raytracing won’t be available at launch. The engineers at Nvidia are still hard at work getting that solution to look as good as possible for the game, and the date is still to be determined. But from what we’ve seen so far, it’ll be good.”

This is particularly interesting as the game has been marketed by Nvidia explicitly mentioning ray tracing, though providing no clarification on whether or not said feature would arrive on launch day.
