Monster Hunter: World celebrates a new sales record by handing out free stuff to players

While things in the world of Monster Hunter: World may have eased up a bit as the game prepares to launch its Iceborne expansion, it still appears to be selling like gangbusters. To wit, the game has officially hit 13 million units shipped worldwide, and that’s cause enough to celebrate by giving players freebies.

Those who log in to the game between Thursday, July 25th, and Thursday, August 29th, will get a bundle of items as part of their daily login grab bag. The items in question are pretty valuable indeed, including Heavy Armor Spheres, Silver Eggs, Gold Wyverian Prints, Appreciation Tickets, and — perhaps most interesting of all to players — an Attack Jewel, which is one of the most notoriously difficult materials to see drop in the game.
