Rockstar loves hiding easter eggs in its games, especially when it comes to the Grand Theft Auto franchise. Grand Theft Auto 5 is certainly no exception, with the open world packed with easter eggs - some of which have taken years for fans to discover. Now Reddit user ShaolinManuelMiranda believes they've found yet another easter egg in Grand Theft Auto 5 six years removed from the game's original release, and it's a possible reference to the events of Rockstar's most recent game, Red Dead Redemption 2. Please note that this article will have MAJOR SPOILERS for Red Dead Redemption 2.

Reddit user ShaolinManuelMiranda found a park in Grand Theft Auto 5's open world called Arthur's Pass Trails. Some have interpreted the name of this park to be possible foreshadowing of the events in Red Dead Redemption 2, as they pertain to main character Arthur Morgan. As those who have played through all of Red Dead Redemption 2 will know, Arthur doesn't exactly make it through the game alive, hence "Arthur's Pass Trails."

Of course, it's possible that this is just a coincidence, but Red Dead Redemption 2 did technically start development near the end of GTA 5's development cycle. It's possible that Rockstar had already ironed the details of the game's story and knew that it was going to kill Arthur from tuberculosis, and so the developers decided to sneak in this reference to his death in Grand Theft Auto 5.

Whether or not this is an intentional reference to Red Dead Redemption 2 is up for debate. But with Grand Theft Auto 5 already having so many easter eggs, it's not hard to believe that this could very well be another one.

Besides this possible Red Dead Redemption 2 reference, there are many other notable Grand Theft Auto 5 easter eggs. For example, players can visit Grove Street from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, as well as find UFOs flying in the sky throughout the open world. And given the sheer size of Grand Theft Auto 5 and its open world, it's not out of the realm of possibility that even more easter eggs are still hidden in the game, yet to be discovered.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is out now for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
