The Torchlight Frontiers team is hard at work on the next major update to the game. Called "Beast Buddies", the patch will include pet companions. While they've always had helpful abilities to share with their player companion, pets in Torchlight Frontiers will be upping their game. Players will be able to collect a number of pets and swap them out as well as collect pet skills to assign to their companion.
"We've also made sure that pets are both a part of a character's strategy and that players can always choose their favorite pet without sacrificing gameplay power." the blog reads.
Each player's Fort will have a Pet Shelter used for managing their collection of pets. This includes swapping them, renaming them, equipping new skills or even releasing them.
The post also details a number of different auras, buffs, combat abilities and reveals a few brand new pets.
