Some of the most interesting moments in Destiny 2 come when players find a way to take advantage of the game's unique weapons and abilities in a novel way. It's even better when it is in some of the game's high-tier content. And that's exactly what two Destiny 2 players did by defeating the first phase of the final boss in the Crown of Sorrow raid with an insane strategy.

While these same two players, Gigz and Vendetta, already beat the final boss of the raid as a two-man team, the duo turned their sights on the first phase of the fight that involves defeating Gahlran's Deception. While many said two-manning this part of the encounter was impossible because it requires players in three different zones that are separated by uncrossable walls, these two players were determined to prove it could be done.

In order to accomplish it, the main strategy involved using The Colony exotic grenade launcher. That's because an ogre needs to be killed in the third room, which doesn't have a player in it, so one of the players with The Colony has to perfectly aim at the ceiling to lob grenades over the wall and hit the ogre to kill it. In the same way, that player also needs to shoot more grenades over the wall to hit one of the vessels in order to break the uncrossable wall.

It is a very impressive feat considering that the player with The Colony needs to know exactly where to aim, be positioned correctly, and have the right timing—all while staying alive and dealing with all the challenges in their own sectioned-off side of the room. Leave it up to Destiny players to figure out how to challenge themselves to overcome the game's hardest content, like the Crown of Sorrow raid, in new and interesting ways.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
