Over the past several weeks, numerous leaks looked to reveal several new Ubisoft games prior to their official announcement at the Ubisoft E3 2019 press conference. Now, with the press conference having come and gone, fans have indeed received definitive confirmation of a handful of new titles, one of which is Rainbow Six Quarantine, a three-player co-op shooter with a proclivity towards horror.

The announcement of Rainbow Six Quarantine came by way of a brief teaser tailer, which, despite its short length, makes the game's horror tone quite clear. In this Rainbow Six Quarantine trailer, fans assume a first-person view, pointing a gun at seemingly nefarious shadows passing by just out of reach. Something strange has obviously been inflicted upon the player here, and as friendlies come to their rescue, it is indicated that the character "is going into stasis."

Indeed, it seems that Rainbow Six Quarantine will ask players to work together to overcome terrors in this PvE-centric horror title, and it is emphasized that the entire game can be played in a three-person party. While cooperative PvE may not be the first thing that fans think of when they hear "Rainbow Six," this confluence of co-op and horror could certainly pique the interest of players that are new to the franchise as well as those that have a long history with Rainbow Six.

Additionally, it is said that Rainbow Six Quarantine has a link to Rainbow Six Siege, an online tactical shooter that released in 2015. This link includes similar gunplay, gadgets, and tactics, but it is stated that players do not need to have played Siege in order to enjoy Quarantine, which is said to be a good entry point into the series.

One thing that the Rainbow Six Quarantine trailer that was shown during the Ubisoft E3 2019 press conference did not confirm was a release date for the title, though it indicated that the game will launch, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, in 2020. This means that excited players will need to be a bit patient, but there are certain to be more details about the game made available prior to the Rainbow Six Quarantine release date.

Rainbow Six Quarantine is in development for PC, PS4, and Xbox One and will release in 2020.
