Ubisoft has a new post on The Division 2 site to introduce the next specialization coming to the game. The Gunner travels the world with a Minigun and an "emphasis on sustained damage output and damage resilience". Gunners receive bonus armor based on the amount of Specialization ammunition they have on them which allows them to tank for a short period of time. The Signature Skill ignores cover and confuses targets. When they stumble out of cover, the Riot Foam grenade can be used.
Players with the Year 1 Pass will have the Gunner unlocked instantly. Those who do not can unlock the Gunner, by taking on "Special Field Research" that consists of five stages of in-game challenges. Once all five are complete, the Gunner becomes available with the SHD signature weapon.
The Gunner will be available to test on the Public Test Server, opening on June 4th, in order get as much feedback on it before it is released on the Live servers in Title Update 4, coming in June 2019. Please join us on the official forums and tell us about your experiences with it.
