WRUP: Lex Luthor All-Star Racing edition

This failed for lots of reasons, let's be real.

Introducing the new hit crossover kart racing game, Lex Luthor All-Star Racing! How many characters can you play? Just one, Lex Luthor! You can dress Lex Luthor up in a variety of different costumes, but it’s always Lex Luthor, why would you play anyone else. Lex Luthor is the best!

Lex Luthor!

Look, we spent all of our money on the license but we only had enough to license exactly one character, and the guy who did the negotiating thought that Lex Luthor was Batman’s secret identity. He thought he was being smart. We all poured ketchup into his coffee and now we’re just asking you to buy the game. Pre-orders are open in the comments of What Are You Playing.

Bonus question: What was the first song you ever knew all the words to? And can you still remember them?

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): Gonna be in City of Heroes this weekend of course, but I’ve also got some tidying up to do in Star Wars Galaxies. My vendors have been making good money for me while I’m over in CoH, but I need to restock them properly to make that continue!

Chris Neal (@wolfyseyes, blog): I’ve made it to 70 on my Final Fantasy XIV Dark Knight, so now begins the steady climb up the item level and MSQ ranks. I’m biding my time, not worrying too hard about Shadowbringers’ impending arrival, and truly having a good time rebuilding my character. I’ll also very likely ponder a toon or three in City of Heroes, both in terms of a fun to play powerset and fun to RP character. There’s also, of course, a bit of Star Wars: The Old Republic in my future, both on my CMA Agent and even my RP-focused Commando. Basically, I’m hoping to do roleplay all weekend.

I cannot for the life of me really recall the first song that I knew all the words to. One of the earliest is Living Colour’s “Cult of Personality”, which at the time didn’t bear more significance to me at my young age beyond a song that sounded freaking amazing. Now that I’ve got a better grasp of the lyrics from a referential standpoint, it’s made the song even better.

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): Next week, it’s time for me to travel across the country to take part in the Final Fantasy XIV media tour, so this weekend will include no small amount of prep work for that. I will, of course, be playing the game itself along the way and possibly a couple other single-player titles whilst I stock up on things to do.

The first song I ever learned the words to was “Rocky Raccoon” by the Beatles, when I was young enough to think that it was a song about an actual anthropomorphic raccoon. And yes, I still remember the whole thing.

Justin Olivetti (@Sypster, blog): Gotta say, Star Wars: The Old Republic is actually working to get my attention back, and I’m liking that. I may log in to pick back up my Operative and try to make some progress through the Knights expansions. Other than that? City of Heroes and Fallout 76 are entertaining me greatly these days, so why not feed the beast.

Mia DeSanzo (@neschria): I will likely be playing Tree of Savior and Riders of Icarus. I have no other plans for the weekend, for a change.

I can’t say which song, apart from maybe Patty Cake, that I learned all of the words to – my dad is a musician (and a painter, and a now retired chemical factory worker), so there were always guys with guitar in our living room when I was small, and I learned all their favorites from the 60s and early 70s in the early 70s when I was still very small.

Samon Kashani (@thesamkash): I should be able to get back into the swing of things and play this weekend. Hopefully, I’ll be able to hit level 40 in Champions Online. But, what I’m really looking forward to is the next chapter in Guild Wars 2!

First song was probably “Do Re Mi” from The Sound of Music, or any of those songs really. I absolutely remember the words and remember watching that movie on repeat!

Tyler Edwards: My usual D&D game will return. Also planning to finish off Dungeons III and perhaps try Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic before my Origin Access sub runs out.

Bonus question: The first and only song that I know all of the words to by heart is London Halflife by my past, present, and future favorite band: Metric. The fact it’s a very short song probably helps.
