The New World site has been updated with a brief note from the development team to inform current alpha testers that the ongoing 24/7 testing phase will be coming to a close on June 3rd. This will provide the developers with the opportunity to implement major new features in response to player feedback since launching alpha testing in September 2018. "Since these features are large in scope and create changes to the world that could be disruptive, we will end this phase of Alpha testing".
The team has indicated that it is looking forward to sharing some of the new features and mechanics, though there is no indication when alpha testing will resume.
A great game is shaped by many people. We will be asking for your help periodically to give us feedback on new features, so please stay tuned.
