With Destiny 2's new Revelry event in full-swing, players are snagging new rewards, taking on new activities, and even earning the new Arbalest exotic rifle. Thanks to one of the new features introduced in the Revelry, the Reveler's Tonic, players can reduce their ability cooldown rates, essentially giving them near-infinite grenades or melee abilities. One fireteam decided to try some experiments with one of the strike bosses and it turned into a hilarious instakill all thanks to the Tonic.

Reddit user Carolinagamer99 and two other Destiny 2 players took to The Arms Dealer Nightfall strike to perform this hilarious feat. For this to work, the team used the Nightfall challenge card to add the Solar Burn and Grenadier modifiers to grant additional solar and grenade damage. When combined with the Grenade Reveler's Tonic and the Hunter exotic Young Ahamkara's Spine, the team was able to load up a sparrow covered in tripmine grenades and one-shot Bracus Zahn. Usually the boss goes through two different immunity phases, but this group of guardians managed to nuke him before he even had the change to leave the starting platform.

While this is perhaps the most fun and creative use of the Reveler's Tonic out there, many Destiny 2 players are upset with the Reveler's Tonic in Competitive Crucible. Some players argue that adding high grenade recharge rate is taking the fun out of the competitive Crucible grind. However, there are some players who are enjoying the chaos that the Tonic brings, much like players did when Prometheus Lens turned Trials of the Nine into laser tag.

This is certainly not the first time players have gotten creative when it comes to beating bosses. Some Destiny 2 raiders even defeated one of the Last Wish raid bosses from a ridiculous distance, which required impeccable timing and communication. Destiny 2 players often find new and interesting ways to tackle bosses and challenges during the slow periods of the game, and while the Revelry is still going strong, some players are anxiously awaiting more content. Hopefully more details about future content will be coming down the pipeline in the near future.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
