Fan recreates classic Guild Wars’ Ascalon City in RPG Maker

Remaking your favorite online world in a different program seems to be a hobby of some fans, which is why we get (for example) World of Warcraft redone for MineCraft or Ultima Online popping up in Wurm Online’s environment. And ReWorld certainly has a lot of potential to being sculpted into the fashion of favorite past games.

But what about classic Guild Wars? Is it being left out of this party? Perish the thought! Over on YouTube, amateur game designer Jomo recently showed off his progress in remaking ArenaNet’s original game using the RPG Maker toolset. While it’s not done yet, the game at least includes Ascalon City and a fateful meeting with good ol’ Prince Rurik.
