In The Division 2, one of the most time-consuming things players can do is collect all of the exotic weapons in the game. The Division 2 exotics are typically some of the better weapons that players can have, but as Massive continues to add more content to the game and players move up through the different World Tiers, they can start to become obsolete. Luckily, there is a way that The Division 2 players can upgrade their exotics so that they don't have to stop using them.

Before players can worry about upgrading The Division 2 exotics, they first need to collect one of the exotics, as the vendor that sells exotic upgrade blueprints won't appear in the White House until players have at least one exotic in their inventory. For anyone trying to hunt down all of the exotics in The Division 2, they can refer to our Division 2 exotics guide for more info.

1. Upgrade the Crafting Table

Once Division 2 players have collected an exotic, they can purchase the upgrade blueprint from the vendor in the White House. This vendor is located in the same room as the Quartermaster, so they shouldn't be hard to find. Once the blueprint is purchased, players will need to make sure that the crafting table is fully upgraded. This is done by using crafting materials, and while it may be time-consuming, hopefully Division 2 players won't have too much trouble accomplishing this by the time they reach the endgame.

2. How to Get Exotic Components

To actually upgrade the Division 2 exotics, players will need to collect special crafting material called exotic components. To get exotic components in The Division 2, players actually have to dismantle other exotics. This makes this material extremely hard to come by, to say the least.

Besides Exotic Components, The Division 2 players will need other crafting materials, which will be specific to the weapon they are trying to upgrade. But once they have everything they need, they simply need to visit their upgraded crafting table to upgrade their exotic weapon of choice.

The Division 2 is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
