Earlier today, publisher Funcom announced that the new Conan themed survival RTS developed by Petroglyph Studios and entitled Conan Unconquered is slated for a May 3oth release. This promises to be a great RTS as the folks at Petroglyph Studios are the same RTS-crafting veterans from Command & Conquer.
This first-ever Conan strategy game will be available in a Standard Edition for $29.99 and a Deluxe Edition for $39.99, and can currently be pre-ordered by visiting www.conanunconquered.com.
With the Deluxe Edition, players will get exclusive DLC units, Kalanthes, a spell-casting hero unit, and a King Conan hero unit as well as the game soundtrack and an original eBook copy of Conan Unconquered.
Petroglyph CEO Chuck Kroegel explains that Conan Unconquered will be a unique addition to the RTS world in which players will face constant assaults from enemy forces that will grow more ruthless the longer you survive, all while you are struggling to build an unconquerable stronghold that will be able to stand against the oncoming hordes. Conan Unconquered will also feature a co-op multiplayer mode, allowing you to pool resources and face the invading forces together in the hopes of assembling a formidable army.
