From Software nails a perfect strike as Sekiro takes No.1 in this week’s Steam Top Ten

From Software's brand new Activision-published new IP Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice took the No.1 spot in last week’s Steam Top Ten.

The feudal Japanese break from the established formula set by Dark Souls and Bloodborne hit Steam last Friday and quickly soared to the top spot in the Weekly charts. Fellow slasher Devil May Cry V has slipped slightly since its debut at No.1, now sitting comfortably in third.

Sega takes double billing further down the chart, as Total War: Warhammer II breaks in at No.5, followed closely by Two Point Hospital - a week on from the healthcare tycoon’s free weekend on Steam.

An across-the-board 50 per cent price cut brings Ubisoft out in force, with heavy discounts drawing Far Cry: New Dawn and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey back to the Steam Top Ten at No.7 and No.8 spots respectively.

Nipping at the frozen heels of the Steam charts is 11bit's Frostpunk, reminding us that Spring hasn’t quite in force just yet.

Below is the Steam Top Ten for the week ending March 23rd

  1. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Activision Blizzard
  2. Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds, PUBG Corp
  3. Devil May Cry 5, Capcom
  4. Grand Theft Auto V, Rockstar
  5. Total War: Warhammer II, Sega
  6. Two Point Hospital, Sega
  7. Far Cry: New Dawn, Ubisoft
  8. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Ubisoft
  9. MISSING
  10. Frostpunk, 11Bit
