Although all eyes are on Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Odyssey being a headliner for the Google Stadia game list, the remastered Assassin's Creed 3 is set to hit PC and consoles in the coming days. And for those picking it up, as either part of the Odyssey season pass or as a standalone title, PC players will be delighted to know that developer and publisher Ubisoft have revealed the minimum and recommended specifications and requirements to run it.

As part of this remastered version, fans of the franchise will get all Assassin's Creed 3 DLC and even its companion game, Assassin's Creed Liberation Remastered. These remastered versions will feature a new graphics engine that supports HDR and 4K resolutions, and Ubisoft states that this is more than just a graphics overhaul. The differences between the original 2012 release of AC3 and its 2019 release of Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered remains to be seen.

For PC players, the minimum PC specs will allow for 1080 30fps gameplay of Assassin's Creed 3 Remaster and require either Windows 7, 8, or 10. The video preset will be the lowest available and it will support an AMD FX-6350 (Intel Core i5-2400) CPU and AMD Radeon R9 270X (Nvidia Geforce GTX 660) video card.

The highest settings, which will allow for 4K 30fps gameplay, are a little stricter. It requires Windows 10, an AMD Ryzen 5 1500X (Intel Core i7-4790) CPU and Radeon RX Vega 56 (Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070) in order to run Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered.

For many, this may be a moment to return to the American Colonies as Connor or see the finale of modern day assassin Desmond Miles again. The result of his death was several first-person modern-day stories in subsequent titles, until Layla Hassan was introduced in Assassin's Creed Origins whose personal story carried over into Assassin's Creed Odyssey, which proved to be one of the best selling titles of 2018.

Hopefully, the continued support of Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Assassin's Creed 3 Remastered will be enough to sate fans of the franchise throughout 2019. Ubisoft has already confirmed there won't be another main Assassin's Creed entry in the franchise this year, which means it'll likely be 2020 before we see another one.

Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered releases March 29, 2019, on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It is also expected to release for Nintendo Switch on May 21, 2019.
