After tons of close calls and unlucky bad breaks, Twitch streamer The Happy Hob has finally completed every game in the Soulsborne series (Demon's SoulsDark Souls 1, Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 3, and Bloodborne) without taking a single hit. For Happy Hob this “God Run” was seen as the ultimate achievement and it couldn’t have come at a better time, with From Software’s latest title, Sekiro, set to release on Friday.

Followers of Happy Hob, or no-hit runners in general, will know his accomplishments well. He was the first to complete Dark Souls 1 without taking a hit, but his most incredible feat (up until today) was the “Trilogy,” beating Dark Souls 1, Dark Souls 2, and Dark Souls 3 without getting hit. If at any point he took a hit, Hob would need to start all of the games over.

For the God Run, things were taken to a new extreme. The same rules regarding hits and the randomized order of the games were in play, but now Bloodborne and Demon's Souls were in the mix, two of the more challenging From Software games to no-hit.

Watch the full no-hit Soulsborne God Run below starting at the 2:56:00 mark on the first video.

There were plenty of moments previously that made it seem as if The Happy Hob was destined to complete the run, but one thing or another didn’t go his way. A hit on the tutorial boss Vanguard in Demon's Souls, for example, ruined what was the closest run Hob had thus far. Funny enough, Hob doesn’t need to actually beat Vanguard to complete Demon's Souls but he added it to the boss list for…reasons.

Then, starting on March 19th and continuing on the 20th into the early hours of the 21st, Happy Hob completed Bloodborne, Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 1, Demon's Souls, and finally Dark Souls 3 without taking damage from an enemy. Considering how well known From Software’s games are for being difficult, anyone can imagine how hard it is to complete one game without taking a hit, but 5 in a row is something only mad men attempt.

But The Happy Hob did it and was overcome with emotion when Soul of Cinder finally was defeated. He called this the run of “destiny,” since so many elements seemed to be working in his favor. No doubt there is a lot of luck involved when it comes to these no-hit runs, but skill is just as important and he clearly has it in spades. Congrats to The Happy Hob on the incredible achievement and we look forward to seeing what the future holds for his challenge runs.
