We never claimed to be saints.

So, did you agree with our assessment of Anthem as a fun game with a lot of issues? It seems BioWare itself agrees with that assessment, as the latest post-launch discussion from general manager Casey Hudson focuses on precisely that idea. Hudson states that the feedback from players about the elements of the game that just aren’t tuned properly or are not fun to play has been invaluable as the team moves forward to make the game better and more fun for everyone.

We also continue to listen to your feedback, with more improvements to endgame loot and progression, game flow, and stability and performance coming soon – so there’s a lot more work that we intend to do.  This is all a learning experience for us, and as we work to make sure the game is improved and perfected, we can’t emphasize enough how much we appreciate you staying with us.  Especially because the next stage is where things really get exciting.

The team is well aware that loot is still not in a solved place, with the most recent patch on March 15th already targeted at improving drop rates and more improvements planned for the future. The letter as a whole acknowledges where the doubts are coming from and how things need to be improved while at the same time redoubling the developers’ commitment to making Anthem the best it can be.
