At GDC 2019, it was revealed that DOOM Eternal developer id Software has been working with Google on its gaming streaming and cross-integration service that will allow players to access  games on any platform instantly, otherwise known as Google Stadia. It remains to be seen if this new platform becomes popular or not, but it comes with plenty of unique features such as streaming crowdplay, splitscreen with no performance drawbacks, cross-saves, and more. DOOM Eternal will find itself available on this platform when it launches.

It's worth mentioning that Google Stadia has more than 10 teraflops of power, which is more than the Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro combined. Because of this, Stadia boasts the ability to support game streaming in 4K 60 FPS with HDR enabled, with DOOM Eternal being the show pony of this power.

It's worth mentioning, though, that even high-end PC hardware struggles with this. Not to mention, the Internet required to be able to put out this much power is as demanding as it is ambitious.  However, with the Stadia controller, it seems as if Google Assistant will be able to help, as players try to stream DOOM Eternal in 4K and 60 FPS across phones, computers, TVs, and more.

Not much is yet known about DOOM Eternal, but there will be story DLC to further player's experiences with the game on its multiple platforms, including Google Stadia. Beyond DOOM Eternal, it is unknown how many games will be supported by Stadia when it launches in 2019. Nevertheless, DOOM Eternal will likely be seen by many as a worthy headliner.

Considering DOOM Eternal's E3 trailer was one of the most watched trailers of 2018, many may see id Software teaming up with Google to have the game run on Stadia as a good move. Now, it's just a waiting game until it actually launches.

DOOM Eternal has no release date, but is expected to release late 2019 for Google Stadia, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
