The Division 2 Just Launched Earlier Than Expected On Xbox One

by Elise Favis on Mar 11, 2019 at 03:59 PM

While it was supposed to launch at midnight, at least for certain versions, we can confirm that The Division 2 is live and playable on Xbox One right now. It's unclear whether this is a leak due to an error, or if Ubisoft is launching the game early on the platform.

Players who bought the Phoenix, Dark Zone, Ultimate or Gold editions were told that they could play on March 12, starting at midnight tonight.

The Division 2 is currently only playable on Xbox One. PlayStation 4 and PC are expected to launch at midnight. Because the Xbox One early release may be an error, this may not last long. It looks like the Gold version is playable, but we're not sure about other versions just yet.

We've reached out to Ubisoft to find out more. Stay tuned to Game Informer for our review of The Division 2 which will be published in the coming days. If you're not able to access the game yourself yet, you can head over to Twitch to watch playthroughs of those that can.
