Not too long ago, Epic Games brought about a bevy of changes and added a bunch of fresh content for Season 8 of its free-to-play multiplayer shooter, Fortnite Battle Royale, including the addition of new map locations and new items like the Treasure Map. Now, the developer is set to continue incorporating new playable assets into the game, by teasing the addition of a new vehicle that's aptly dubbed "The Baller".

According to the latest post from Fortnite Battle Royale's in-game news feed, "The Baller" is set to arrive "soon", and it appears to be a single-seated rolling vehicle similar to the gyrospheres seen within Jurassic World. What's more is that The Baller comes equipped with a grapple plunger affixed to the front, which implies that players will be able to add a bit of verticality to the way in which they traverse the map while in the vehicle.

For those unaware, Fortnite Battle Royale has seen a bunch of different vehicles come and go since their inception to the free-to-play title, with Epic having Vaulted the likes of the X-4 Stormwing at the beginning of Season 8. While "The Baller" won't offer players the same aerial abilities that something like a plane has, it should at the very least give one an interesting means of mobility to get across the game's map.

While Epic has yet to introduce an exact time as to when "The Baller" will arrive, it's highly likely that it will be added to Fortnite Battle Royale via the next patch, Update 8.10. More often than not, the studio teases items in the game shortly before their introduction.

Beyond "The Baller", Fortnite Battle Royale will surely be receiving plenty more updates well into the future in order to keep players engaged with the free-to-play title. After all, Season 8 Week 3 will be here soon enough to give players even more to do in the game.

Fortnite is available now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
