TERA partners with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds for bizarre crossover event

Well, we suppose it was bound to happen eventually: PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and TERA are crossing over. Sure, it seems like an odd combination, and that’s because it is, but considering that Korean game studio Bluehole was involved in the development of both titles, it’s not quite as farfetched of a collaboration as it initially seems.

[AL:TERA]Still pretty weird, though. In case you’re wondering, no, this doesn’t mean that PUBG players are going to drop into battle and find themselves face-to-face with one of TERA’s signature Big-Ass Monsters — not yet, anyway, though we wouldn’t be too surprised if that’s already in the works. The crossover will be taking place in TERA, where En Masse Entertainment will be holding a series of in-game events that will “reward players with PUBG themed cosmetics, themed consumable items, daily login rewards, and PUBG store bundles.”

The crossover event will be launching simultaneously on the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 versions of TERA, but as of right now, it’s uncertain when exactly that will be. En Masse says, however, that it will provide more details closer to the event’s launch. In the meantime, you can check out the video below to get a glimpse of some of the PUBG-flavored rewards that await.
