Today in who’s giving Fallout 76 away for free, we have Polish retailer X-Kom, which was reportedly bundling the game with $5 PlayStation 4 thumbsticks to sell them all in a hurry. As VG247 points out, the store is now sold out of the deal and back to selling the game at full price, but not before multiple gamers and a Polish website snapped photos.

Gamers will recall that we’ve seen several other such incidents in the last month. A week ago, German players found the game bolted on as a freebie with add-on storage hard drives for PS4s, and a week before that German GameStops were offering the game as a gift-with-purchase of used console controllers. Bethsoft’s PR has thus far denied rumors that shops were marking down inventory and said there’s no truth to the idea that the game might go free-to-play.

The good news here is that last week’s dupe clean-up has been called an actual success by critics, and of course the game’s roadmap has some bright spots on the way, including a major upgrade to stashes and tweaks to the flagging system when it comes to friendly fire on camps.
