Total War Developers Creative Assembly Working On New Shooter

by Imran Khan on Feb 04, 2019 at 02:00 PM

Creative Assembly, the Sega studio behind games like the Total War series and Alien: Isolation, is working on a new shooter which they still have yet to formally announce. That doesn't mean they won't hint at it on Twitter, though, suggesting the game is in a showable state already.

That's Neill Blomkamp in the middle there, director of movies like District 9, Elysium, and Chappie. For whatever reason, he was visiting Creative Assembly, who was happy to show him their new game. While they say it's a new IP, I imagine it must be some degree of sci-fi if you're showing it off to Neill Blomkamp.

It will be interesting to see the studio spread its wings a bit and get back into first-person games after the critically-acclaimed Alien: Isolation. If they're referring to the game as a shooter, then it will likely be a bit different, but I am eager to see what they can do with it.
