It's no major secret that Anthem's VIP Demo weekend has had an incredibly rocky start, with there not only being a bunch of known issues preventing many from playing, but also multiple bugs and glitches causing the actual gameplay to spaz out for some players in myriad ways. At any rate, some of those who have managed to actually get into the demo and give it a go might have gotten stuck while trying to complete the earliest mission available–that is, Triple Threat–due to the barrier puzzle at the end stumping them.

The gist of this Anthem mission is for Freelancers to help Matthias find a Shaper relic called the Manifold that will help improve their Javelin in order to take on the Heart of Rage. Presuming players have already acquired the two signets required to open the chamber holding the Manifold, defeated the Three Dominion Valkyrie enemies guarding it, and then discovered that the Manifold's enshrouded in a blue and impenetrable bubble, we will cut to the chase in order to explain how to solve the puzzle and unlock the item needed to end the mission.

Manifold Puzzle Solution

Anthem's Manifold puzzle is pretty simple, but figuring out exactly how to solve it may not be as obvious as some think. Essentially, it's a color puzzle, so each of the devices in the room that can be interacted with need to be set to a certain color before the Manifold can be obtained. Upon approaching the three lighted apparatuses, players will need to keep an eye out for any other color in the vicinity for a clue as to what color should be selected on the contraption.

Firstly, the clue to the Eastern Light is on the back of a pillar on the left side of the device's platform. This means players should change what is originally a solid blue light to yellow.

Secondly, the hint for the Southeastern Light is under the bridge leading to this platform, as a purplish glow should be found there. So, switch what is initially a blinking blue light to purple.

Lastly, the tip for the Southwestern Light is a red hue high on a wall to the left of the mechanism. Therefore, change what is originally a yellow light to red.

Now that each of the contraptions are set to their correct colors, Freelancers should head back to the Manifold in order to obtain the item, and the mission will then eventually time out. After this, players will need to go back to Fort Tarsis and talk to Matthias to complete Triple Threat once and for all, which will treat them to a rather side-splitting scene.

It must be noted, though, that this solution may only apply to the VIP Demo version of Anthem, and might not be the same in the final version of the game. Nevertheless, we hope these tips helped out, and will set players back on course to completing more missions.

Anthem is scheduled to launch on February 22, 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
