Fallout 76 Devs Want Community Feedback on In-Game Events

The latest Fallout 76 "Inside the Vault" newsletter has been published and it's packed full of news and information about what the team has been working on, what players can expect in the coming weeks and months. The letter offers information about bug fixing, closing exploits, Patch 5 news and "a new way of playing the game that remove[s] PvP restrictions".

Here's the skinny:

  • the team is working on producing even more ways for devs to communicate with the community
  • exploits are a priority and the team is grateful for the number of exploits that players have brought to its attention
  • Patch 5 is targeted for the end of the month with changes to the Two Shot Legendary Mod and changes to mod scrapping to avoid inadvertent destruction of loose mods
  • servers without PvP restrictions will be coming and the team has promised that more about how this will function will be revealed next week

Another interesting aspect of the letter is the devs' request for community feedback about in-game events and its ideas about the best type and more:

As we’ve stated time and again, your feedback is crucial to making appropriate changes and improving the overall player experience. This week we’d like to hear your thoughts specifically on in-game Events. Specifically, aspects of Events that you really enjoy and want to see us double down on, and areas we can improve.

Some of our biggest questions include:

  • Which events do you feel are most rewarding to you?
  • Which events do you not care about doing or dislike? Why?
  • Which events do you prefer to play in a team vs. solo? Why?
  • What types of events would you like to see in the game?
  • How do you join events? Do you fast travel? Do you go to a location expecting to start an event?
  • How would you feel about bonuses for completing a daily or weekly event?
