Modern-fantasy dungeon-crawler Breach enters early access tomorrow

After spending the last few months in alpha testing, multiplayer dungeon-crawler Breach is almost ready to make the leap to early access, allowing players who have preordered the game to get their first taste of the game’s unique flavor of cooperative/asymmetrical multiplayer RPG action. To prepare for the occasion, the folks at QC Games have released a new early-access FAQ as well as a roadmap for the coming months.

Breach’s early access will officially begin tomorrow, January 17th, but players who preordered a founder’s pack on Steam will be receiving their access codes via e-mail sometime before early access officially begins, which presumably means sometime today. In addition, players will also receive codes that can be redeemed in the Breach launcher to claim any preorder bonuses.

Early access is just the beginning of a busy year for Breach, though, as detailed in the new early access roadmap. From January to March, players can look forward to getting their hands on three new classes — the Pyromancer, the Shadow Master, and the Medic — as well as a new map, new enemies, and the game’s challenge system. Then, from April to June, the devs will be adding three yet-unannounced hero classes as well as a new veil demon, story quests, and “an entirely new 5v5 mode.”

Early access will wrap up from July to September, which will see even more hero classes, a new veil demon, and “more new features,” though we don’t yet have any details on what exactly those features may be. Of course, as with any roadmap, the plans are subject to change, but if you want to check out what Breach has in store for players as it hits the early access milestone, you can find the full roadmap over on the game’s official site.
