It has been a long time since Capcom started working on the highly-anticipated Resident Evil 2 remake, and after the publisher and developer announced there would be playable trial, fans have been waiting in anticipation for the game's demo. While the short, "One-Shot" demo officially goes live on January 11, 2019 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, there is a way to play it today for fans who cannot wait.

Since the demo is available in Australia already, fans outside of the country who would like to try out the Resident Evil 2 demo sooner can simply change their territory to Australia to gain access to it. Players will only be able to play it once for the time limit of 30 minutes, and once the time limit has expired, it's over for good. So, it is advised to not spend too much time sight-seeing and wandering around in the game.

The Resident Evil 2 demo takes players through a snippet of gameplay as co-protagonist Leon S. Kennedy. For those who manage to finish the mission objective quickly enough, they can continue exploring until the timer runs out. Players who die will be able to keep trying until the half-hour is up. Finishing the demo will give fans an exclusive new cinematic trailer, which they can watch as much as they like even if time has expired, unlike the demo.

For players that are still uncertain about whether to buy Resident Evil 2 or not, the demo will be available until January 31, 2019, which is a few days after the game's release. Resident Evil 2 is certainly one of the most anticipated horror games of this year, and Capcom's integration of the original game with some new features and vastly improved graphics should have many fans of the long-running series very excited to start playing.

Resident Evil 2 will be available on January 25 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
