Treyarch is back from its winter break and is starting off 2019 with an update to Black Ops 4. This most recent update focuses primarily on Multiplayer Playlist additions, as well as addressing stability and bugs within both Multiplayer and Zombies.

The most exciting new content is the addition of Endurance Chaos Moshpit as a Featured Playlist, alongside several other new Moshpits being added to the Featured category. Treyarch also opened up about Black Ops 4 content coming soon, including the much anticipated League Play.

The Endurance Chaos Moshpit in Black Ops 4 multiplayer should liven things up for the interim. This Playlist is built around the following:

  • 6v6 with higher score limits.
  • Team Deathmatch with 150 score limit, 15-minute time limit.
  • Domination with 200 score round limit, 400 score match limit.
  • Hardpoint with 500 score limit, 10-minute time limit.
  • Kill Confirmed with 150 score limit, 15-minute time limit.

In addition to the Endurance Chaos Moshpit getting features, Treyarch is also adding Mercenary Capture Moshpit, Mercenary Hardcore Mosphit, Deathmatch Moshpit, and Map Pack Moshpit to the Featured category.

Regarding the stability adjustments, Multiplayer issues related to Torque's Barricade, the Mantis Scorestreak, and killing Strike Team members rappeling from a helicopter have been addressed, while several Zombies issues tied to Dead of Night are also now fixed.

Black Ops 4 will also soon add several long-awaited features and Treyarch took the opportunity to share its development progress with today's update:

  • Mastery Camos: Camos like Gold, Diamond, and Dark Matter are being brought over from Multiplayer and into Zombies and Blackout. The Mastery Camo system is being reworked in these modes with custom-tailored challenges and should go live in late January.
  • Zombies Features: Three new Elixers and a rebalance of existing Elixers will arrive on PS4 next week, alongside the all-new Gauntlet mode in Voyage of Despair. More Zombies news to come soon, as well as further Zombies experiences as part of the Black Ops 4 Pass.
  • Blackout Looting On Consoles: Improved Blackout looting is coming to consoles next week, including an improved looting interface that's faster and more efficient to scroll through.

Finally, Treyarch confirms that Black Ops 4 League Play will be arriving by the end of January.  With CWL Custom Games, CODCaster, and Live Event Viewer all now launched, League Play is the next step. Ladders will be lumped into 50-player groupings, with League Play events played out through 3-day events and weekends with "Scrim" periods in between. All League Play and Scrims will feature skill-based matchmaking, with details about the ranking system to be revealed closer to launch. As for Teams and Clans, they're still being worked on.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
