There's no doubt that Far Cry 5 was one of the most popular titles released this year, especially with the first-person shooter having been included among Google's top ten most searched for video games of 2018. The adoration from newcomers and veteran fans alike was certainly caused by FC5's solid gameplay, and it was likely assisted in part by the game's map editor in the Arcade mode. Speaking of which, one fan recently decided to go all out with the feature by recreating the iconic Home Alone house in the game.

As seen in the video below from the YouTuber and Far Cry 5 fan dubbed Mojo Swoptops, the player does meticulous work to build an exterior model of the McCallisters' house from Home Alone, and crafts the surrounding neighborhood with a wintry theme as well. While it might prove to be even more arduous than recreating the outside of the abode, all that they have left to do is furnish the interior to totally complete the effect.

For those who may have been out of the loop with Far Cry 5, ever since the game released earlier this year, fans have been recreating lots of iconic areas and environments from the annals of pop culture history with the help of the title's Arcade mode. For instance, not only did one player remake the opening of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis within Far Cry 5, but also another decided to try their hand at crafting a portion of Jurassic Park.

While loads of players are still having fun building environments with Far Cry 5's level editing tools in Arcade mode, Ubisoft has already set its eyes on the next entry in the long-running first-person shooter franchise. As it so happens, the publisher and developer recently unveiled Far Cry New Dawn with a trailer at The Game Awards 2018, and the forthcoming post-apocalyptic title is set to launch in February 2019.
