It won't be too much longer before Destiny 2 fans will be able to take on the science fiction shooter's forthcoming raid, Scourge of the Past, with the content set to be included soon by way of the game's Black Armory DLC. Now, Bungie has decided to give players a taste of the action to come by releasing an official teaser trailer for the endgame activity, which will invite Guardians to once again to "become legend".

As seen in the teaser trailer below, Destiny 2 fans will head back to the Old City to face Scourge of the Past, which has been described by Bungie as having an incredibly fast pace and will allow players to use their sparrows for the first time in a raid. Those looking forward to taking on the new endgame content will be able to do so starting tomorrow on Friday, December 7, at 9:00 AM PST, where the race for World's First will officially begin.

For those unaware, Bungie has promised that all owners of Destiny 2's Annual Pass will be able to access Scourge of the Past, regardless of how high a player manages to make their power level in between now and the content's availability. For those who wish to be on par with the challenge, though, they would do well to get a better idea of how strong the developer thinks Guardians should be before going into it by checking out raid details and the recommended power level.

Taking all of this into consideration, it will be interesting to see exactly how big Scourge of the Past will be, as Bungie has already declared that it will not be an extension of any existing raid activity and that its length should last somewhere in between that of Crota’s End and Last Wish. At any rate, we will simply have to wait and find out if Scourge of the Past is going to wind up becoming a boon to the future of Destiny 2.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
