Because Shiro Games has unleashed the Nidhogg in the new Nidhogg: The Clan of Dragons DLC for Northgard.

As the other Viking clans are happen loot, the Clan of the Dragon prefers the ancient art of enslavement and ritualistic sacrifice to call upon winged beasts of fury. As you lead the “chosen” to the Dragonkin Alter, unlocking bonuses for the good of the clan. While you could sacrifice your own villagers, thralls acquired through conquest make fine fodder for the alters… and you don’t have to find a new baker!
The Clan of the Dragon will have their own unique skill tree which will benefit from the spending of Dragon Essence to unlock ancient secrets. You will also gain access to mighty Dragonkin: furious combatants with a penchant for dual-wielding.
Northgard entered Early Access on Steam nearly a year ago and has sold over 850,000 copies. While we do not have an official date for it leaving Early Access, the Nidhogg: The Clan of the Dragon DLC is available now for $4.99.
