After a weekend full of teases, yesterday was a very exciting day for Pokemon GO fans. Niantic released the first details about the game's upcoming PvP features and the community has been reacting very positively, despite the fact that the fights won't be turn-based. In addition to all of the actual news, some fans are going crazy over the appearance of unreleased Pokemon like Garchomp and Smeargle in one of the video previews.

The Pokemon GO PvP demo video in question comes from IGN, where some of the team had a chance to get hands-on with the new features. In the middle of a fast battle, the demo players fly through a roster including not only Garchomp and Smeargle, but also Heatran and Regigigas. Before players get too excited, there's no reason to believe that this is a tease or a hint of content that is soon to come.

Here are a few screenshots for fans who missed the quick appearances...

As viewers started to go crazy with new Pokemon release theories, IGN quickly replied and explained that they were basically playing on God Mode. During the demo they had access to all kinds of items, bonuses, and Pokemon that aren't available on the live servers. It is cool to see that these Pokemon and their movesets have already been developed, but it doesn't seem like their presence in the demo should be taken as a teaser for their upcoming release.

For now, Niantic is likely much more focused on launching the actual PvP features. There isn't a firm release date just yet, but hopefully one will be arriving in the very near future. Be sure to check back in the coming days for more news, guides, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
