It is no secret that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has been built off of the nostalgia associated with previous Black Ops installments. Blackout's map is essentially a compilation of numerous fan favorite maps from early titles in the Black Ops series, and many of its characters first appeared in the earlier installments as well. Treyarch continues to follow suit as, just like in the previous Black Ops games, they have added a fan favorite map, Nuketown, to all platforms.

Since Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is closely associated with PlayStation, PS4 owners have received new content before any other platforms. So it is no surprise that Sony's console was the first to receive Nuketown on November 13, a week before any other consoles. As for Xbox One and PC, Treyarch has announced in their latest patch notes that Nuketown is available now for all platforms. It is playable in multiplayer and even has a dedicated playlist that includes TDM, Kill Confirmed, Domination, and Hardpoint. Treyarch also noted that for a limited time, zombies will invade Nuketown Island in Blackout.

In addition to Nuketown arriving on all platforms, Treyarch also announced improvements and changes to multiplayer, zombies, and Blackout. Improvements to multiplayer include clearer gun Kill Counters and Clan Tags, increased Care Package speed, adjusted Scorestreak scores, TDM points raised to 100, and more. Zombies' gameplay performance is being vastly improved as Treyarch is apparently patching 70+ bugs to fix gameplay and unexpected crashes. Besides Nuketown Island being overrun by zombies, nothing drastic is changing in Blackout. A few bugs have been addressed and the Bowie Knife is now easier to get. It is now available to find in equipment stashes, loot drops from zombies, and as random item-spawns in Zombie locations, but only on PS4.

Despite the fact that this patch is not a major game changer, it is always good for fans when the developer is providing regular, player-feedback based updates and improvements. While few developers are as involved as Epic Games is with Fortnite, Treyarch is seemingly trying their best to keep up with its pace, and that is a great way for a developer to keep a game as popular as Fortnite.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
