A few days ago, Ubisoft revealed that Operation Wind Bastion is making its way to Rainbow Six Siege soon. In a blog post, the publisher released a video providing players a detailed look of Operation Wind Bastion's map.

The new daytime map, which is simply called Fortress, features a mud-brick kasbah that is designed after architectures uniquely found in the southern region of Morocco. Upon entering the map, Rainbow Six Siege players are met with a gigantic entrance complete with imposing towers and the phrase Kasbah Sehkra Mania written above an archway. The map is based on real structures that are housed in fortified walls and features two floors of living and training space. Ubisoft has put in tremendous detail in the map that each floor would feature distinct rooms and halls.

Moreover, it appears that the new map would offer players interesting gameplay as it provides tons of open space and areas that are perfect for both close and long range encounters. A section of the Fortress is newly renovated that includes an assortment of decorative ornaments, furniture, and other objects that players can interact with.

In a separate blog post, the studio also talked about how the Operators would function during Operation Wind Bastion, revealing that “the first Operator is a Defender and the Commander himself who is as stoic as the mountains are immovable.” The second Operator, on the other hand, will serve as an attacker. While it is exciting to see the value that this new map will bring to the game, players won’t have to wait for long as Ubisoft is scheduled to reveal more details in an upcoming live stream during the Pro League Finals on November 17 and 18.

In its three years of existence, Rainbow Six Siege has proven to be a valuable IP for Ubisoft as it has managed to maintain a consistent and robust player base despite its age. As many fans might agree, Ubisoft has done an incredible job of keeping its players interested by consistently introducing content updates such as the upcoming Operation Wind Bastion.

As for the game’s future, the publisher revealed a few days ago that it will be expanding its reach by releasing Rainbow Six Siege in China. This will result in the game undergoing a few aesthetic changes for the game.

Rainbow Six Siege is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
