Let’s be blunt: People did not like Eureka Pagos. But Final Fantasy XIV’s patch 4.45, live today, pushes the storyline along with role-agnostic customizations that might appeal to grumpy players within Eureka specifically.

“Today’s update introduces the next chapter of The Forbidden Land of Eureka, along with further adventures of everyone’s favorite inspector extraordinaire, Hildibrand. Patch 4.45 brings The Forbidden Land, Eureka Pyros to the world of Hydaelyn. As the intrepid explorers continue their journey to reach the headquarters of the Students of Baldesion at the center of the isle, players will uncover a network of caves hidden within the massive mountains, where frozen tundra gives way to smoldering lava. Eorzeans will also reunite with detective Hildibrand once more, as the hunt for a legendary sword of great power continues.”

Notably, we’re just 10 days away from Final Fantasy XIV’s Fan Festival in Las Vegas, at which our own Eliot Lefebvre will be representing MOP.
