Guild Wars 2 players love their annual events and they're in luck. The Shadow of the Mad King is making a return to the game starting October 16th and running through November 6th. During the event, players will be able to play Reaper's Rumble, "a fast-paced PvP format" to collect pumpkins while fighting off other players and hordes of skeletons. This piece of the Shadow of the Mad King has not been playable since the first Halloween event after GW2's launch.
Other events include the Mad King's Raceway with a new track and utilizes the Roller Beetle mount during the competition.
Three new weapons are also added that "took inspiration from real world horror tropes: A syringe (dagger) called The Cure, a lightning rod (sword) called Soul Conductor, and a butcher knife (axe) called Revenge.
Players who have completed Episode 3 of Season 4 of the living story candelve into the ancient rivalry between Mad King Thorn and Palawa Joko through a new collection achievement
