Last Friday, the folks at Digital Extremes held their latest Warframe devstream, and they’ve helpfully provided a nice, digestible recap of the big topics discussed. The recap opens by addressing the proverbial elephant in the room: “We’re aware of our current content drought,” it says, “but we have some amazing things planned for the rest of 2018 for our content-hungry Tennos.” The game’s PC players can expect “a mainline update . . . to help pave the way to Fortuna,” which will include a couple of new graphical settings options, unlimited-use Archwing Launchers, and an improved gear wheel, among other things.

The bulk of the devcast and the recap thereof, however, is focused on the hotly anticipated Fortuna update, which will be introducing a wealth of new features to the game. The team has unveiled the map of the new Orb Vallis zone that will be coming with Fortuna, showing off its impressive scale. They also gave players another look at the upcoming K-Drives, which are basically personal-transport hoverboards that will be useful for both getting around and doing sick tricks, bro.

The devs revealed that players will be able to mod their K-Drives to alter its speed, handling, and style stats, with style mods providing players with “cool attack bonuses” when they pull off tricks. Players can even mount and dismount their K-Drives in midair, earning score bonuses for any kills they get in the process. For all the details, you can check out the devstream recap over at the Warframe official site, or you can see the full stream in its entirety down below.
