Yesterday, Nintendo revealed multiple announcements of upcoming games for the Switch and 3DS via its Direct presentation. Among the many titles revealed, Nintendo confirmed the Switch release of the game, Warframe, which will arrive on the console on November 20, 2018.

Warframe for the Switch was initially announced a couple of months ago via the TennoCon, Digital Extremes’ third annual Warframe convention. The developer and publisher of the game revealed that Panic Button will work on the development of the Switch version. Ever since the release of the Switch back in March 2017, the console has been pretty much open to third-party developers whose games are not usually published on a Nintendo console in previous generations, and Warframe is no exception.

For the past year, Panic Button has been the go-to of third-party developers in bringing beloved games to Nintendo’s hybrid console. Last June, developer Bethesda brought games such as Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, and DOOM to the Switch. The company partnered with Panic Button and was able to release the games seamlessly to the Switch.

As previously mentioned, the confirmation of Warframe’s release date during yesterday’s Nintendo Direct is just one of the many announcements revealed for both the Switch and the 3DS. Several first-party titles, including Animal Crossing, was announced for Switch yesterday. Furthermore, the third installment of Luigi's Mansion was also revealed yesterday, and is slated to release sometime in 2019.

After one year since its release date, the Nintendo Switch’s library of games has been continuously expanding and offers diverse games from traditional Nintendo titles, to unconventional third-party games. Warframe’s inclusion to the Switch library in November will definitely help in attracting a wider range of players, just in time for the holiday season.

Warframe is now available for the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with a Nintendo Switch release date on November 20, 2018.
