ArcheAge prepares for a new round of ‘server evolutions’

Oh great.
What’s this? ArcheAge’s servers are evolving! But not into a bird, or a beetle, or some sort of bird-beetle with like fourteen stingers like an evolution in Pokémon; they’re evolving into a smaller number of servers. Which looks an awful lot like a server merge, but they’re called evolutions, so it would be unfair to suggest that this was in some way a server merge.

It probably just looks that way because we’re not all educated server evolutionary biologists. That’s the ticket.

Fresh Start servers will be unaffected by the server evolution, with all of the regional evolutions currently planned to take place on October 17th. Land placement will also remain locked on the evolved servers until October 20th. There are details that have yet to be communicated, although one might assume based on previous instances that this will mean losing existing houses and land ownership; we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more details as we get closer to the date.
