The release of one of the most anticipated games of fall 2018, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, is around the corner, and like many upcoming games such as Battlefield V and Fallout 76 that have special Xbox One X consoles, Shadow of the Tomb Raider now has its own custom Xbox One X up for grabs. In addition to that, all proceeds from the sale of the custom Shadow of the Tomb Raider Xbox One X will go to Best Friends Animal Society, which is an organisation that aids cats and dogs that are in need.

The custom Xbox One X is quite elaborate as it features detailed Mayan engravings and a Mayan map similar to the one that fans had to solve in order to unlock the game's first trailer. The Shadow of the Tomb Raider bundle also includes a custom Xbox One X controller that has vines all around it similar to the vines on the Xbox, as well as other Mayan patterns. The Xbox is up for auction on eBay and is currently at $4,050.00.

As the proceeds will be going to Best Friends Animal Society, Tomb Raider publisher Square Enix has also released an adorable video titled Shadow of the Cute Raider, which can be seen below. The Shadow of the Cute Raider video parodies the original Shadow of the Tomb Raider trailer and features dogs and cats as replacements for the characters in the game. In the video one can see how Lara Croft, the dog, rescues a puppy from an evil Sphinx cat.

This video and the introduction of a custom Xbox One X is certainly a clever and witty way to create awareness of and raise funds for the Best Friends Animal Society. Since Shadow of the Tomb Raider will feature many wild animals, amongst other mystical things, it is also fitting. Even though the custom Xbox One X is beyond the average person's price range, it is heartwarming to see the Tomb Raider team make efforts to help animals in need.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider launches for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 14.
