Free Weekend and Deep Discount for Day of Infamy Begins April 26th

Day of Infamy

New World Interactive celebrates their World War II, Day of Infamy, by opening up the gates and allowing players to try it for free on Stream between April 26th through the 30th. The publisher boasts that 4.8 million matches have been played, resulting in 236 million confirmed kills and 4.8 billion rounds fired.

If you aren’t familiar with the title, Day of Infamy started as a mod to New World Interactive’s Insurgency in 2015 and has built a large since them. This first-person shooter sets out to revive the World War II genre with over 60 historic weapons, nine player classes, and 33 different units involved in the conflict. Battles of Day of Infamy are played out in both player-versus-player and cooperative gameplay modes.

The free weekend will kick off with a live stream on their Twitch channel, hosted by the development team on Thursday, April 26th at 1 PM EST. During the weekend’s festivities, Day of Infamy will receive a 70% discount on Steam, reducing the price to $5.99 USD. Players can also expect to earn triple XP bonuses throughout the event as well in order to give new players a boost and to reward the seasoned veterans.
