Kingdom Come: Deliverance, the realistic medieval RPG from WarHorse Studio, released on February 13th. The game has seen mostly positive responses and managed to sell over a million copies across PC, PS4 and Xbox One in the first 2 weeks since the launch.

Recently the developers have been asked, whether they consider KC:D an Indie or an AAA-project.

KCD is an attempt of bridging the two: it is an indie game at heart – more hardcore, more demanding, more fierce – but with the visuals and production values of AAA game.

Now we have a chance to learn just how much it costs to create such a game. According to the latest issue of Forbes, KC:D’s budget consisted of 750 Million crowns which roughly equals to $36.5 Million. The number also includes the marketing costs.
