Netflix Doesn't Appear To Be Coming To Nintendo Switch Anytime Soon
Last year, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime said that the company was in talks with streaming-video providers including Netflix and Hulu about getting their apps on the Nintendo Switch. Hulu made its way over to the console in November, but Netflix is still nowhere in sight. If a recent tweet from a Netflix customer service agent is any indication, that situation isn't about to change anytime soon.
This Twitter exchange just about says it all:
@Netflixhelps @netflix is there any word on when Netflix may be launching on the Nintendo Switch? The demand is high! We are eagerly awaiting its launch!

Hey there! There are currently no plans for Netflix on Nintendo Switch. We appreciate your feedback on it! *JF

Our Take
While it's certainly possible that the agent in command of Netflix's Twitter account isn't privy to top-secret conversations behind the scenes, we'll have to take it at face value at this point. It's certainly possible that the companies have plans for a bigger reveal at some undisclosed time, but let's be real here: It's Netflix, a service that's available on just about everything else that has a screen. It would be nice to have it on Switch, too, but we're not exactly lacking for alternatives.
