2D Platformer Owlboy Coming To PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch On February 13

by Imran Khan on Nov 01, 2017 at 01:19 PM

The beautiful pixel-art platformer Owlboy, which released on PC exactly one year ago today, is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch on February 13.

Owlboy is a 2D platformer that focuses on jumping, flying, and verticality, with the Tanooki suit from Super Mario Bros. 3 cited as the game's primary influence. The title is well known for its nearly ten-year development schedule, but our review here shows that the long wait was definitely worth it.

The announcement came in the midst of a longer reel of updates and announcements from the developers, including Owlboy plushes and assorted gameplay footage. Check out the video below and check out Owlboy when it comes out just ahead of Valentine's Day in 2018.

Our Take
I have been excited to play Owlboy since they announced the Switch version, which I am eager to take on the go presuming it holds up.
