New For Honor Trailer Reveals Season 3's Tribute Mode

by Jeff Cork on Sep 13, 2017 at 10:10 AM

For Honor's third season starts in just a couple of days, adding a few new characters as well as a new mode. What's the mode? Why, it's called Tribute. How does it work? Check out a new trailer to see all the details on this twist on capture the flag.

In Tribute, two teams of four scramble to grab three flag-like tributes. Once you gain possession of one, you need to bring it back to one of your team's three shrines. This is where it gets a little interesting. Each shrine offers a different buff for your team when it has a tribute: offensive, defensive, and awareness. If your team manages to place tributes in all three shrines, a countdown starts. At that point, the other team needs to reclaim at least one tribute before time runs out, or it's game over.

Ubisoft is streaming the mode on its Twitch page tomorrow, Sept. 14, at 12 p.m. Eastern, if you'd like to learn more.

For Honor's third season starts on September 15.
