The Dota 2 International Starts Today
The world's most prestigious Dota 2 tournament, The International, begins today. The tournament, the prize pool for which is currently at $23.3 million, features 18 qualified and invited teams vying for the first-place prize of over $10 million.
Today you can catch group stages of the event, where the teams are split into two groups of nine and play two matches against each other. The four teams with the most wins advance to next week's main event in the upper bracket, the next four teams advance in the lower bracket, and the team with the fewest wins is eliminated from the tournament.
The group stages will take place through Saturday, August 5. The main event begins next Monday, August 7. You can watch the tournament and glance at the match schedule here.
