Titanfall 2 DLC Trailer Introduces A New Multiplayer Titan

by Andrew Reiner on May 25, 2017 at 12:29 PM

Titanfall 2's upcoming Monarch's Reign DLC pack releases on May 30 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and is free to players. A new trailer provides a first look at the wealth of content offered in this update, including the seventh multiplayer Titan named Monarch. Respawn details this new metal walker as "the IMC’s attempt to reverse-engineer the Militia's Vanguard-class Titan with a decided focus on flexibility through survival and support options." The Monarch stands out from the other Titans with an Upgrade Core that improves combat abilities during battle. It can also harvests energy from enemies to recharge its shields or shield teammate Titans.

The Monarch Reign pack brings back the Relic map from the original Titanfall game, which Respawn has remastered to feature "clever wall running routes" found along hanging pieces of wreckage. Players will find a variety of new cosmetic items available for purchase, as well as new art packs, and a camo pack inspired by World War II's "dazzle camouflage." The pack is rounded out with the introduction of Ronin Prime and Tone Prime. Respawn says Ronin Prime "charges the field with a samurai-inspired aesthetic including a visual-upgrade for his sword so he may more stylishly pierce the heavens (and enemy Titans)."
