The latest Project Genom update has been posted along with the news that the most difficult programming tasks are nearing completion. Most notably in this week's update is the news that the day-night cycle has been completed and that it will alter in-game based on what server time it is currently.
Other features the team has been working on are:
- reducing the "drag" on the server from NPC models
- minor bug fixes found during closed testing periods
- scientists' camp is complete
- adding details, textures to snowy locations
- high level armor modeling
We are glad to announce that the longest and the most difficult programming tasks are almost completed. Updates are largely dependent on these tasks. Though there is still plenty of work to be done, this step is crucial for the game development.
