Let’s kick things off with Guns of Icarus’ reimaginationing. It’s the thing to do these days: relaunch your game with a new mode and name. But Guns of Icarus Online is taking the trope a step further toward the MMORPG genre instead of away from it with its replacement release of what it’s calling Guns of Icarus Alliance; it’s basically adding co-op PvE to the existing PvP mix. It’s also adding a new pricetag: Even former Guns of Icarus Online players will have to shell out for the new game, though with a nice discount.

New games and testing
- Wild Terra is busy testing update 8.25, which continues building out the Corrupted Lands and adds stables and cloaks to boot.
Patches
- RuneScape is turning 13 — or 15 — depending which version you’re counting from. Its latest patch tweaks luck rather heavily.
- Lord of the Rings Online pushed out a small hotfix for update 20 — it’s mostly quest and map tweaks.
- Heroes & Generals is working on newbie tutorials and bot matches to bring new players up to speed.
- Ultima Online is busy testing new monsters on the test server.
Events
- Champions Online’s FoxbatCon has returned in celebration of April Fools’ Day.
- Wargaming announced that the “crown jewel” tournament for World of Tanks will this year take place on May 27th and 28th in Moscow, Russia.
- Warframe dev Digital Extremes will work with charity Covenant House Toronto at this summer’s Tennocon.
- Mobile MMO Glory Ridge is hosting a gem giveaway contest for folks who want to give the in-beta game a try.

- Blizzard is rolling out a high-end collectibles line because it would like even more of your money, please.
- Star Trek Online has a new piece of lore up.
